Our Work

In May 2026, we designed and administered a survey exploring how women in informal settlements experience and navigate heat stress. The survey focused on exposure to heat during domestic chores such as cooking and water collection, hydration patterns and barriers to consistent water access, specific effects of menopause and age-related vulnerability, as well as identifying spaces within homes and neighbourhoods where heat exposure is most severe. Findings from the survey informed the project’s future awareness materials and expert session themes.
